ARTIST STATEMENT

We disguise the inner person behind fake smiles and the words of meaningless conversations. All the while, we wish for that connection that will reassure us we are not alone. In masquerading our feelings we alienate each other, accentuating our differences. I strive to bring out those feelings and emotions, which are not always pretty, in the form of visual poetry that helps us to recognize and comprehend them. Only when we confront our true feelings and emotions in ourselves can we understand and accept them in others.
